*all you need is love
*when nothing goes right... go left.
*silence is golden, duct tape is silver

*dont live too fast
*belive in the impossible

before i start explaining my designs, you shoud know that when i scanned these my scanner cuts off the extra white space so some of these are a lot smaller then the look and in the corner or against the side of the page.

these four designs, i put tape down on the paper and then peeled it off. i think out off all of my peices and methods, these are my favorites. the first one is bubble wrap, the second one is a fork, the thrid one is a pen with a fake flower on the end, and the last one was just blowing the ink off the end of the lid.

these four were done by listening to music and making a beat, (dont worry though, these arnt the ones from wednesday) the first one im trying to remember what i did it with, the second one i mixed sprinkles and ink and through them on the paper with the beat i was following and then scrapped them off with a ruler, the thrid one i used two twizzlers :), and the third one was the corner of a skittles wrapper.

these four i did by twisting my tool, the first one was the screws that kathy gave us during class, the second one i did by paiting the inside of a cup and rolling up a peice of paper and twisting that inside the cup (i wish i would have redone it though and tried using a bigger cup and more paint.) the third one i taped some silly bands to the end of a pencil and twisted that across the page, and the last one was a pen with a fake flower on the end of it.

and last but not least, these for i did with my own method i think, but you could kind of say that it goes with one of the methods on the hand out. but here, i layed two peices of paper together and just put them in different positions and started painting like it was one canvas. the first two are both with the same pen that had a fake flower attached to the end, the third one was with a paint brush annd the last one was made with a twizzler.

In class, October 4. with pencils!

these last two are my favorite :)

Marking Making Tool:)
Made out of one very decotate coozie, one pencil, and three silly bands!

20 Sketches!

working in class with our phrase!
when nothing goes right...go left.

ten HUGE sketches

The Critic!

-mark making has crisp lines (folded paper effect)
-crisp line gives order to chaos
-gender is neutral
-noise: wind, static, boom, explosion
-voice: chatter, many voices, like in a crowd
-some of them look like a feild of grass, and one resembles a cross
-mostly easy to read
-visual breaths are expressive, space creates the pause for the  "..."
-nice balance between simple and complex
-they all have some part that yells at you
-some txt does become part of the marks, others go against the marks
-darker font on darked sketches look good
-they like that "go left" is on the right side on the page
-the quote fits good because all the marks are kinda chaotic and nothings really "going right" in an organized since
